Whether it is timely or not, SciFi will always remain relevant and inspiring as it introduces us to a whole new perspective in an imaginary world. Most of our favorite icons (AKA Katniss Everdeen) were introduced to us through this genre and we can’t wait to introduce you to some more! That being said, here are some of our favorite SciFi books that will surely have you coming back for more.
1. Battle Royale: The Novel by Koushun Takami
If you’ve enjoyed Hunger Games, Squid Game, and Alice in Borderland, then this should be your next read! Students are sent to an isolated island where they’re forced to wear explosive collars and fight each other until only one survives.
2. Armada by Ernest Cline
From the same author of Ready Player One, this novel is peppered with pop culture and video game references. If you’ve enjoyed Ready Player One and Ender’s Game, this one’s also a must-read.
3. The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins
This trilogy has gripped many science fiction fans, teens, and adults alike. Set in a dystopian future, districts must sacrifice 2 tributes each to participate in the Hunger Games, a game where only the fittest or smartest will survive.
4. A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle
A Wrinkle in Time tells the adventures in space and time of Meg, Charles Wallace, and Calvin O’Keefe and their search for Meg’s father, who disappeared while working on a secret government project.
5. Dune Series by Frank Herbert
One of the classic science fiction series, Dune is set in the far future where the galaxy is run by feudal societies.
These are just a few out of many good SciFi books out there and we can’t wait to add more to the list! Each story has an impact on all of us which is why we can’t help but read them over and over again.
