Time flies so fast when you’re having fun. It’s as if two months flew by in a blink of an eye, and yet I don’t feel an ounce of regret. If anyone I know were to ask me how I’m currently doing at BookSpine PH, I doubt they’ll believe me once I tell them I’ve never felt stressed out while working there. I couldn’t even feel the small bit of pressure I had expected to feel from my supervisors when I was still applying for the position as an intern. Perhaps it’s because the people surrounding me were so dependable and responsible. Having a team like that, I wouldn’t exchange it for anything.

I’m fairly new to working in a startup environment, which is why there are times when I was unsure of what to do. However, it was easy for me to reach out to them and address my uncertainties because the team values communication. They made me realize that it’s okay to ask questions. I was thankful to be given the assurance that they’ll be there to give their guidance and provide their support. Another amazing thing about BookSpine PH is they know how to balance professionalism and friendliness. A friendly community with a touch of professionalism is how I would describe the atmosphere within the company. I’m fortunate to be part of this community where there’s no discrimination involved. They have a healthy working environment perfect for starters, just like me, to build a strong foundation in their career growth.

Since the day that I’ve started my internship, I’ve been exposed to countless opportunities to upskill. As a marketing intern, my role was to assist in the management of marketing operations, particularly in campaign execution and content creation. I honestly didn’t think I’d be able to go further out of my comfort zone in just two months. Not only was I able to explore different areas of digital marketing, but I was also able to turn my knowledge into action. There were several things I got to do for the first time at BookSpine PH. Conducting keyword research, improving search engine optimization, and discovering backend systems are some of them. In addition, my content writing skills were put to test when I had to do copywriting and blog writing. And whenever I’m accomplishing the tasks that were assigned to me, I really enjoy doing them.

Being part of the e-commerce industry, where digital transformation rapidly adapts to changing circumstances, I had to learn how to become more flexible and resilient to not lose my momentum in this fast-paced society. It became more clear to me how important time management and mental fortitude are. It was also a fun experience as I was able to acquire new skills along the way and put them into practice. After all, challenging myself to do more is one of my stimulators for self-growth. Because of my goal-oriented peers, I was motivated to strive harder to contribute to the development of the company’s business strategies. But what made me proud of joining this team was that I was trained to become more versatile as an individual. Indeed, BookSpine PH is one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life. I’m glad I made the right choice.

Two months in, I was able to do more than I thought I could do. The company gave me more reasons to stay motivated and productive as I better myself alongside them. And at the end of the day, if I were to describe my work experience in BookSpine PH, I can proudly say it is worthwhile.
